PRESIDENT GRAY’S PASSION (May 22, 1989)

Among all the MIT presidents, President Paul Gray was especially fond of students. To paraphrase an anecdote by Daniil Kharms about Leo Tolstoy, who was known to be very fond of children, even if you were to fill a lecture hall with students, President Gray would keep repeating: “More, more.” Such was his passion!
