The second issue of The Jackdaw is out. It is as refreshing as the first. Funny, informative, incisive, uncompromising, it offers an effective antidote to the standard gibberish on the subject of art. And yet, I am beginning to worry about the future of David Lee’s newsletter. His hard-hitting, no-nonsense, in-your-face style will soon become a bit dry to the tongue. A touch of frivolity and a dash of variety will soon be needed to take the edge off the bitter meal. Or am I merely disappointed and perhaps even hurt that David has decided not to print my rambling letter about Ant Noises Two?
