BEING SENSITIVE TO YOUR ENVIRONMENT (March 14, 2007)

I went to Poreč with Karmela and Miroslav Kiš. On our way there and back, I kept noticing all kinds of architectural marvels increasingly typical of the Istrian landscape. “Look,” I would point at some house in a new-fangled Mediterranean style. They would keep quiet through my outbursts. Instead, they kept noticing all kinds of greenery growing by the road. “Look,” Karmela or Miroslav would point at some shoot peering behind a bush. And I would keep quiet through their outbursts. By the end of our trip, though, we grew kind of quiet. Being sensitive to your environment can mean different things to different people. Entirely different things, that is.
