The last winter was hardly a winter. It was rather disappointing. But it has taken me quite some time to come up with something that would pin it down as one of the most disappointing winters I have ever experienced. This evening it came to me out of the blue: the last winter was so mild I had not read a word from The Book of the Thousand Nights and One Night. And this is my favorite winter reading. Not a single word!
