THIS DISMAL WEATHER (June 12, 2007)

The weather has been atrocious for quite a long time. I am losing count of the weeks, though. At least three and maybe even four, I reckon. It rains nearly every day, but the rain threatens almost all the time. My eyes dart skyward wherever I go. It is warm and sultry, too. More often than not, it is hard to breathe. I feel like taking a nap all the while. Low clouds and swirling mists complete the sorry picture. Even the gorgeous Mirna valley looks bleak in this dismal weather. Several times a day I am overwhelmed by the feeling that I have never moved from Reading. Or that the Berkshire weather has moved to Motovun together with me. Although I am bored stiff by my many complaints of this ilk, I feel slightly better each and every time I put them into writing. At least while I am at it, complaining ever anew.
