“MY CARTESIAN HOME” (August 25, 2008)
Thus I to myself as soon as I sit down at my dining table after a long day away from the hearth. What with my stark paintings, which cover every wall in sight, or the stark architecture that surrounds them, my home is as Cartesian as homes ever come. Having uttered these words, I can imagine myself talking to old Descartes himself. More, I can imagine agreeing with him on many things of common interest, such as the way forward. Ah, what a fool I would have made of myself so many disgraceful centuries back!
