AN OPEN LETTER TO FELLOW HUMANS (September 21, 2014)

Stop marching. Stop demonstrating. Stop occupying. Nobody you are supposedly addressing can do a thing about your gripes. Governments are powerless when it comes to human nature. Collective responsibility cannot be dealt with by anyone else but yourself. Turn inward. All you need to do is to follow simple steps out of this failed civilization (“A Recipe for Foolproof Subversion,” May 14, 2013). And you can do it without anyone’s help. The more people follow this simple recipe, the sooner will we be rid of everything you are marching and demonstrating and occupying against. And the more readily you will survive the ravages of climate change that humans have fomented collectively if unwittingly. Good luck!

Addendum I (February 16, 2016)

Fellow humans, you seem not to have read my open letter. Not yet, at least. You are still marching, demonstrating, and occupying. And you are writing letters of protest and signing petitions to this day. To no avail, though. Even if you take up arms, nothing will change for the better. In fact, it can only change for the worse. This civilization has failed. Period. The only way forward is to abandon it from within. And you can do it without anyone’s help. Stop procreating. Stop accumulating. Stop competing. Stop traveling. Stop communicating. Stop voting. And stop taking undue pleasure from marching, demonstrating, and occupying, as well as writing letters of protest and signing petitions. Follow the recipe for foolproof subversion and watch this civilization crumble into dust. Once again, good luck!

Addendum II (January 29, 2018)

Well, well. It is abundantly clear by now that my open letter has been entirely in vain. My fellow humans are oblivious to it, no doubt whatsoever. And this failed civilization is marching forward as though everything is hunky-dory. Its demise, which is just behind the corner, will be a great surprise to nearly everyone on this planet. My fellow humans are not bright enough to fathom what is in store, let alone to react to it in the only meaningful way. By retiring for good, that is (”Ten Principles of Retirement,” January 10, 2018). At any rate, I rest my case. I can only hope that those fabulous few and far between will get my message, as well as follow it as best they can. As far as all the others are concerned, farewell! Enjoy marching, demonstrating, and occupying to the hilt!
